Please note that since this update overhauls many of the game's maps, it may have incompatibility issues with some existing save files. This is more likely to happen with smaller interior maps. If this affects you, then you can roll back to the previous version by right-clicking on the game in your Steam library and then clicking Properties. From the "Betas" tab, select "previous - Version 1.0".
Here are the changes in this version:
- Dozens of new character faces and expressions, for major and minor characters alike!
- A new interface featuring graphics for the various interactions with the environment! Look at it! Take it! Use it! Talk to it!
- Larger graphics! Some players had complained that the characters and objects in the environment were too small, so the size of the character sprites and tiles have been increased by 50%.
- Lots of little fixes and improvements! The stars now move when you're on a traveling spaceship. When you save your game, it will now show what stage of the story you were at. There's also an exit button on the title screen - especially useful for those who prefer playing in full-screen mode. There's also a fix for a rare graphics rendering bug in the engine which could cause random freezes.
As usual, please let me know if you have any issues with the game following this update.

Today's update is mainly just to bring Greenworks (which we use to enable Steam achievements) up to the latest version.It seems to be working fine, but please do let us know if you experience any problems with achievements or launch issues. Also fixed a few bugs that players have

- Removed invisible obstacles outside Warden HQ.
- You can no longer walk around on the walls of the shack during the final sequence.
- Fixed a bug involving the hatch on Quicksilver.

With the release of Space Pilgrim Academy: Reunion last weekend, I wanted to give all of you folks an update on what's happening with this series and the future of Pilgrim Adventures in general. Although Reunion is the concluding chapter of what can be referred to as the Latona s
Original postWith the release of Space Pilgrim Academy: Reunion last weekend, I wanted to give all of you folks an update on what's happening with this series and the future of Pilgrim Adventures in general.
Although Reunion is the concluding chapter of what can be referred to as the Latona story arc, focusing on Maggie's search for her mother, you'll probably get the sense that there's still more story left to tell.
There's been some discussion and speculation on the forums about how many years there are at the Pilgrim Space Academy, and the answer is that there are six. This means Maggie and her fellow cadets are only halfway through their time at the academy. So, the intention is to create a second story arc which would cover years 4 through 6 and possibly beyond.
However ... this won't happen immediately.
I've been almost exclusively working on the Academy games for nearly two years now, and during that time I've had ideas for various other interesting projects which have had to remain on the shelf. The first of these is already in development and should be arriving relatively soon.
Also, the opportunity for the first collaboration between Pilgrim Adventures and another game developer has recently presented itself, which is very exciting!
So, the plan is to take a some time to work on these other projects, and then to return to the Academy series at some point in the future.
Before making any further Academy adventures, I would also like to do a major update to the existing games in the series with enhanced graphics, more varied facial expressions for the lead characters, and some improvements to gameplay.
Obviously the success and popularity of the Academy series will affect the decision of when to start work on the new chapters, so if you'd like to expedite their arrival, the best thing you could do would be to leave Steam reviews on the previous games if you haven't already - particularly Year 1. You could also help out by recommending the series to your friends, foes, followers, dependants, colleagues and minions. It would be very much appreciated!
Finally, I'd also like to mention that in addition to the Steam developer page, we've also newly created accounts on Twitter and Facebook to make it easier for you to follow what's going on! The website is also being updated.
