Added 'Classic Mode' - Miss seed scrolls? Hate that nerdy worm? Enjoy all the new content and bug fixes in Deerly Beloved, but with the classic farming system. Compete against other classic enthusiast in separate Classic Leaderboards. To enable Classic Mode, interact with the Phonograph near the Dailies Butterfly. Note: there is no classic mode for Oregacrow.

General

Big crop system rework with lots of new upgrades
Flowers and Sunflower Seeds do much more damage during final boss fight
Turret Stakes will no longer drop from large bulbs camps, it will drop from common upgrade camps
Chrono Weeds as 0.15 seconds, up from 0.1 seconds
Infinite fertilizer effects also cause player to fertilize at maximum speed
Removed Chrono Seeds
Made Cornucopias slightly easier to get during surplus mode
Updated car camps
Added new rewards to gambling shop and reduced its initial cost
Furryosa, Norman, and Borage's wedding ring no longer causes a specific crop to grow instantly. They now have a 10% chance to instantly mature crops when they merge into large crops in specific biomes.
reduced growth speed bonus from Nitro from 10x to 7x
Updated moist tile art so it can still be seen when a crop is planted on it
Two new deervil upgrades
Base watering speed increased by 25%
Reduced health drops from Wasps, Vultures, Owls, and Lizards by half
Improved animations when harvesting fruit from trees
Can now show/hid info screen while in the loot selection screen
Reduced chance wacker tractor will drop a tree seed
Increased drop rate from Succulent Weeds upgrade
King Squirrel drops 100 seeds instead of upgrade seeds
Reduced tree drop chance
Tilling soil action will no longer automatically chain into 'use pickaxe' action with a single button hold to avoid accidental pickaxe usage
Sowing action for any seed will no longer automatically chain into sowing for a different seed with a single button hold to avoid accidental usage of a seed
'Cut weed' action and 'Till Soil' actions are the only actions that will chain together with a single button hold
Improved art for elite skull attack
Upgrades that appear in the special festival shop have a chance to appear again later control glyphs for inventory HUD only show up in season 1 year 1
Bug Fixes

Bug Fix - oregano seeds will no longer be sold in shops or found in place of upgrades when playing as crow
Bug Fix - bats will no longer get stuck in walls
Bug Fix - level 2 berry sprites will display again (they have been displaying as level 1 sprites)
Bug Fix - the mayor now celebrates during the season festival
Bug Fix - when playing as Rye, squirrel gun and butcher knife will get 2 bonus mods if player has acquired the relevant ant upgrades
Bug Fix - Mortar Bundits no longer have infinite range
Bug Fix - Burn damage will no longer cause random direction knockback on enemies
Bug Fix - fixed a visual bug that caused player to water crops randomly from across the map and caused animals and turrets to water crops without the relevant upgrades

Bug Fix - Enemies in camps now have their positions reset each morning - this will reduce instances of enemies disappearing from camps, leaving them unable to be completed

Gun System Reworked - Guns no longer break, purchased guns are bundled with health and stats, guns have 4 tiers of rarity.
"Gun Repair" stat is now "Gun bonus mod - Chance that a new gun will have a bonus mod."
Some meta upgrades that relate to past gun system now contribute to the new 'Gun Bonus Mod' stat.
Improved gun info display in info screen.
Greatly reduced how many pigeon scrolls can be held at once initially. Farming stat increases pigeon capacity.
Scrolls can be used anywhere - including in town. When used in town, they are queued and processed upon returning to farm.
Pigeons appear more often.
Pigeons cost less in shops.
Passages between biomes that require flying contain loot. Gain a speed boost while traversing the passages.
New gameplay toggle option - Player automatically fires at closest enemy while doing farming tasks.
New SMG mod - Deal damage to recharge tractor faster
New Shotgun mod - Increased range.
New Squirrel gun mod - Squirrel ammo drops.
New Butcher knife mod - Dual wield.
New Assault Rifle mod - More fertilizer drops.
New Flamethrower mods - Some enemies drop fuel - 50% increased damage - Flamethrower with water mod now has blue flames.
New Blunderbloom mod - Shots drop ammo replenishing flowers.
New Jackrabbit mod - Range.
Biodegrader ground fire FX are visually more subtle to improve readability.
Shotgun toxic spores are visually more subtle to improve readability.
Reduced flash intensity of loot.
Crampons consider chance to create moist soil.
Golden Goose can no longer be shielded by elites.
Sowing is about 30% faster.
Mole holes only close during boss fights.
Bug fixes & QoL Improvements

Bug Fix - Localization - fixed missing localization for 'offer' above stat select shrines.
Bug Fix - Fixed text issue with cat plush bonus display in the cat UI.
Bug Fix - Farm animals should now respect the town colliders.
Bug Fix - Killing the boss during its intro sequence will no longer soft lock the game.
Bug Fix - Soft Fur now works after the first run without a game restart.
Bug Fix - Player can now skip season tally after the rewards meter has been filled and the remaining points are tallying.
Bug Fix - Watering will stop when using a hole to return to biomes. Watering will stop when leaving farm zone. Random watering from across the map should no longer happen.
Bug Fix - Crops that merge on moist soil will no longer sometimes display a water symbol when they don't need water.

Added Farm timelapse to end of round screen.
Added Elite enemies that appear in increasing frequency after year 3.
Surplus - a short mode after defeating the final boss to flex your farming power and gain more cornucopias and increase your score. Unlocked after year 3.
Cat Plushies - Collect cat plushies to gain permanent stat bonuses.
New stat: “Homing Pigeon” - Chance for pigeon to return when used.
New stat: “Jump Start” - Chance to gain a charge immediately after using a tractor.
Added more permanent upgrades to Ants.
Added animal counts to info/inventory screen.
New top tier cats that unlock challenges

Balance, Changes & Tweaks

Removed ambient vegetaskulls (purple skulls) from later years.
Improved victory screen.
Improved selecting cats in the Atomicats UI left panel with mouse.
Player can now press and hold to buy tier 1 cats, upgrade cats and reroll cats.
Cat UI now remembers selection of 'Upgrade' and 'Reroll' button so they can be spammed.
Victory screen art varies based on year.
Balanced season harvest reward requirements.
In the victory/game over screen, the online/local leaderboard tab selection state will be remembered between runs.
Renamed 'Motivator' to 'Carrot Tractor' Carrot Tractor rework - new description: "Become invincible for 2 seconds. Energizes all friends and turrets. Holds two charges. Summon a new Carrot Tractor as another Carrot Tractor is dying for bonus invincibility time."
Reduced cost of upgrading and rerolling cats.
Reduced cost of tier 1 cat Increased chance of acquiring better tier cats as a victory reward.
Tier 6 cats are possible to gain as a victory reward.
Luck affects chances for higher tier cats as victory reward.
Harvest Shield and Sow Shield destroy vegetaskulls.
Roach bodies no longer deal damage.
Red circle damage indicators adjusted for players feet.
Player can now stand near red circle indicators and not receive damage if feet are not in the circle.
Gamble shop can now drop top tier pigeon scrolls, farm animals, pickaxes, and fertilizer.
Gamble shop good items are much rarer.
Gamble shop cost increases 2 times faster per use.
Balance - Reduced player's hitbox by 30%.
Balance - Reduced speed of all beeson and clamped their max speed so they will no longer snap back to group at unreasonable speeds.
Balance - Toned down bat movement in later years.
Balance - Reduced luck's affect on health drops.
Balance - Limited max number of slugs that the Slug Boss can spawn.
Balance - Megaton Tractor can no longer kill some tree monsters in one hit.
Balance - Reduced heart beet drop chance each year.
Balance - Snail boss - Increased knockback distance required for snail boss to break away from consuming crops.
Balance - Psychoactive Weeds (Cutting weeds decreases enemy bullet speed and increases move speed) reduces bullet speed by 50% instead of 70%.
Balance - Psychoactive Weeds effect is shorter and requires more weeds or flowers to reach max effect duration.
Balance - Lard (Reduce enemy bullet speeds.) reduces enemy bullet speed by 20% instead of 30%. Balance - Reduced enemy bullet speed no longer effects enemy bullet range for most bullets.
Balance - Lard and Psychoactive Weeds together no longer reduce enemy bullet speed to nearly zero.
Balance - Reduced health of final boss by 20% in later years.
Balance - Difficulty of final boss fight ramps up faster.
Balance - Demon Vegetables during final boss fight fire lines of bullets and have increased range in later years.
Balance - "Soil pH Meter" now does: "Weeds that grow on soil have a 50% chance to be a flower instead."

Bug Fix - Maybe fixed a bug that would cause some enemies to spawn next to player, leaving no time to react. If it still happens, please let us know!
Bug Fix - Fixed possible bug that would cause beeson to lag behind group and snap back to group at high speeds.
Bug fix - Fixed misplaced tree in farmhouse.
Bug Fix - Drones and friends will no longer attack bats that aren't aggro.
Bug Fix - Art - Fixed sorting issues with some cats.
Bug Fix - Player can no longer receive damage when the boss warp hole grabs the player.
Bug Fix - Can no longer use tractors in Deervil Room
Bug Fix - Sowing seeds will no longer be cancelled by weed growth.

Bug Fix - Maybe fixed a bug that would cause some enemies to spawn next to player, leaving no time to react. If it still happens, please let us know!
