Voxel Interceptor Massive New Content Update Incoming!

Limited by real-life constraints and my abilities at the time, Voxel Interceptor was not what it was meant to be when it launched in 2017.
At the time, I had agreed with my family to spend two years developing my first game full-time. Due to my limited skills and emotional volatility back then, development often stalled. Eventually, under the weight of reality, I only managed about eight months of work before the game was rushed out, leaving many ideas unimplemented (for example, the left hangar slot was meant for the player's wingman, but the feature was never realized).
So, after reaching the deadline agreed upon with my family, I did what most people do: I found a job. Consequently, development of the game ceased entirely, and it slowly sank to the bottom of the digital storefront...
Until one day in 2025, I received a message from a player saying they loved my game and asking if there would be any new content updates. In that instant, something struck me: even though most people might not be interested in this genre, even the most niche game has someone who loves it. I should make it what it was always meant to be!
So, now, in 2026, I have decided to remake Voxel Interceptor. Using the work experience I've accumulated over the years and my new perspectives on life, I will take this game—which began with my dreams—and guide it toward a brand new, solid future!
The remake is divided into roughly three phases:
Phase 1: Remake all models in the game while retaining the voxel art style.
Phase 2: Rework the game flow and progression.
Phase 3: Refactor the game framework to make it more maintainable and extensible.
This work can only be done in my spare time after work, so progress may be very slow. But for me now, as long as I don't stop, there will definitely be a day when it is finished.
I will update the community with progress in a timely manner, and I hope everyone will leave comments with your valuable suggestions. I will also try to reply to all messages as soon as possible.
