Updates to ProtoGalaxy have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:
Fix a bug where Proto Defense DLC did not appear in the Arcade map list.
Added version number to map info: the version displays on the main menu.
Added a button to the main menu to launch the game's web site.
Fixed a crash related to multi-selecting objects different amounts of drop groups.
Right clicking in the object selector now returns to the previous folder.

Updates to ProtoGalaxy have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Game:
All Backdrops in the Alpha Op Campaign are now animated.
Added hotkey information to the The Tutorial Mission.
The Ecologist Achievement is now much easier to obtain.
Damage text is now slightly smaller and healing MAX fades out if displayed for a long time.
Fixed a bug where players were being awarded additonal object kills in The Credits Mission.
Fixed a bug where the Ecologist Achievement for The Substructure Mission became impossible to get.
Added the escape key to the default controls.
Fixed a bug where Auto Hotkeys could be used to gravity objects which were not allowed to be gravitied.
Fixed a bug where some objects (such as buttons) in the game were not properly being removed on death
Fixed a bug where the mini point enemy was not properly being created.
Fixed a bug where the campaign menu path state was sometimes not syncing properly in network games.
Fixed a crash related to playing certain missions with multiple computers.
Menu:
Removed the widescreen bars from the game.
Added some additional controls information to the campaign menu to help new players.
Fixed a bug where starting the game without an internet connection could crash the game
When entering new screens on the main menu, default actions are now reset every time (Host: Start Game, Profiles: Customize, Editor: Edit).
It is no longer possible to enter Windows' reserved keys into text popups related to creating files.
Fixed a bug where entering specific text into text entries could crash the game.
Fixed a bug where the network game name was sometimes incorrect.
Editor:
It is now possible to edit Object Drops.
You can multiselect objects in the background.
Added some new trigger effects.
Added some new properties to modify for player and enemy weapons.
Added another snap option for more detailed placement and movement.
Fixed a bug where some enemies would be given additional turrets incorrectly.
Fixed a bug where some enemies would not unghost correctly.

General:
Added a new Arcade selection to the host screen. This is where official Source Studio DLC maps will be located.
Fixed a crash related to changing equipment using an analog stick.
Fixed a crash related to Usernames containing the characters "<" and ">".
Added a new profile option to disable cursor snapping for the gravity beam (Lock Gravity).
When a network player disconnects from a game the host is now notified.
Triggers now run more efficiently, some users may experience performance boosts.
Gameplay:
The player's default action now starts as the first equipped weapon or ability.
Healthbars now display on objects when you aim at them.
The healthbar for an object being gravity'd stays visible.
Fixed a bug where Puzzle 2 (Derelict) could become desync'd in a network game.
Fixed a bug where setting profile options during gameplay in a network game sometimes would not work.
Fixed a bug where Enemies could not heal some other Enemies.
Editor:
Added many new objects to the editor.
Objects are now sorted into folders.
Objects weapons can now be completely customized.
More object properties can now be edited, such as amount of money dropped and ability to glow.
Objects that are scaled with custom shield values now start with the proper shield amount.
Mission complete text can now be edited.
Backdrops can now be animated and changed during a mission.
Added many new trigger conditions / effects.
It is now possible to disable a player from accessing the Inventory, Shop, Equip, and / or Trade screens.
It is now possible to hide the Player's HUD in the mission.
Added the ability to customize a component's gravity beam rate (how springy the gravity beam is).

Game:
It is now possible to join network games while missions are in progress.
Fixed a bug where network clients would sometimes lag behind the server, causing sync issues.
Fixed a rare bug where some enemies would survive upon taking fatal damage.
Fixed some cursor movement speed inconsistencies during the game.
Menu:
Fixed a bug where some users would crash on launching the game.
Fixed a rare crash that could occur when joining new players on the campaign menu.
Fixed a bug where a users host name on the Join Screen was sometimes missing a character.
Hot key controls are now set by default for the first Controller for new game installations.
Improved changing controls from the pause menu.
It is no longer possible to remove required controls from the Pause Menu.
Editor:
Added some basic default triggers to new maps created in the editor to help new users work on maps.
Added a new editor mode to the Campaign Editor to allow changing component stats.

Controls:
Added hotkeys for switching weapons. This allows players to switch actions without using the radial menu. NOTE: For users already playing ProtoGalaxy, you will need to reset your controller in the options menu to get the hotkeys added to the control settings.

Added option for aiming controls that are independent of ship movement.
Gameplay:
Fixed a crash that could sometimes happen after playing for a long time.
Fixed a crash that could sometimes happen while playing sounds.
Graphics:
Fixed a bug where some valid screen resolutions were not being listed in the options menu.
Added buttons to switch between 16bpp and 32bpp screen modes.
Added options for turning off damage and helper text in missions.
The laser graphic is now larger so it is easier to tell when it will cause damage.
Menu:
Made text boxes much easier to see.
Added a note to host screen indicating the game's port number (11334).
Allowed networked computers with no players to access menu while in mission.
The pause menu can now set multiple controls for each action similar to the main menu.
Fix a crash related to the network game list.
Allow controllers to scroll lists on the main menu similar to the campaign menu.
Profiles:
Upgraded player profile file format to allow for future additions.
The game now identifies profiles that are invalid and prevents them from crashing the game.
Campaign:
Fixed a crash related to selling components in the shop.
The cursor on the campaign mission select screen now updates across the network.
Levels can now have up to three missions.
Editor:
You can now place objects in a campaign map.
If a mission has no objectives, the campaign menu now has text to state that.
Using the move region command in a map with no regions no longer causes game to freeze.
You can now set the maximum x and y rotation of player ships.

Greatly increased the pointer speed in all menus.
Made the campaign menu's pointer speed match the cursor speed in game.
Added the Escape key as a default key on controller 1 for the Cancel action (so it opens menus). NOTE: For users already playing ProtoGalaxy, you will need to reset your controller in the options menu to get the Escape key added to the control settings.
Menu:
Fixed deleting save files.
Fixed using enter and esc to interact with various popups.
Fixed a crash related to trying to host deleted custom campaigns.
Campaign:
Changed the visual style of levels with no missions so they are easy to distinguish.
Removed glow on levels with no objectives.
Fixed a crash caused by custom campaign levels with no missions assigned.
Gameplay:
Improved missile flame trail effect.
Fixed the battery display and usage when trying to use the teleport ability to teleport to an invalid lcoation.
New Features:
Added option for drawing or hiding cursors of networked players.
Added option for drawing or hiding gravity range circles of networked players.
Editor:
Slightly improved the mission editor's loading time.
Fixed bug with invisible menus in editor after switching mode using hotkeys.
Fixed bug with using hotkeys to edit text and numbers in editor.
Prevent the editor from automatically scrolling if you alt-tab.
Fixed the coloring of the editor's minimap screen previews.
Improved the float comparison trigger condition.
Allowed using camera paths made up of only a single node.
Fixed a bug related to saving multiline text descriptions in custom maps.
Fixed the display of long text descriptions in custom maps.
Fixed crash related to modding tile sets.
Fixed a bug related to randomizing tile styles to improve modding capability.
