In all modes except survival game type, you are now prevented from taking a shot if the cue stick is colliding with the walls or other billiards. You will have to attempt trickier shots in some cases
The ai is less predictable, though still not particularly smart

It has been a pleasure to spend most of my summer in doors, air conditioning cranked up, tossing virtual pool balls around for hours on end until I found the game that I was trying to make. It's a bit of a weird game, but it interested me for two reasons. First, it is a pub game,
It has been a pleasure to spend most of my summer in doors, air conditioning cranked up, tossing virtual pool balls around for hours on end until I found the game that I was trying to make. It's a bit of a weird game, but it interested me for two reasons. First, it is a pub game, but one that would be difficult if not impossible to play in real life. Not only would you have to play in zero gravity, but you would have to come up with a solution for linear velocity damping while in zero-g.
Second, and perhaps more telling, it is a Virtual Reality game that is so reliant on motion controls and depth perception, that the very concept of the game would not make sense on a 2d screen. Why make use of this new technology if you aren't going to let it take you to places that previous gaming technology would not let you go?
Although, if there is enough interest, I will consider adding non-vr support in the future. And on the note of support:
There are several modes already included in the game, but it is a fairly simple game at heart. I do intend to tweak some of the balance of the existing modes and add additional modes in the future. I debated about releasing in early access, but decided not to. My reasoning: I want customers to purchase the game based on what it includes rather than what has been promised. So if there is not enough there, I do not mind if you wait to purchase until it is actually the game you want it to be.
Currently there is: a short (10-20 minute session) arcade mode with a leaderboard; an endless survival mode; and a 2-player hotheadset* mode.
In the future I will be adding some longer arcade modes with more mechanics, tweaking the game balance on survival, and attempting to add a pvp ai. There are a few other ideas I have but will have to see how things go from here to measure their feasibility.
Unless there are major bugs that need to be fixed, the next update will be in roughly two weeks.

TinyCrease is aware of time travel developments in the world, but the results have been inconclusive at best, and in any case we surely do not have the prestige or capital to acquire such a device. If we had one we could certainly release our humble game on the date which was originally posted.
We have rectified this misinformation by changing the date to August 29. Please look forward to enjoying some simulated space fun when GravPool is released then.
The intern who wrote the wrong date for the release will not be ejected out the airlock, but may be required to clean the space rat droppings out of the auxiliary life support systems for the next month while the rest of us our finishing the game.
