With a huge chunk of the coding done and all the core features coming together, I'm confident I'll have Floppy Heroes 2 available on Steam before the end of 2019! Full blog post at:

I want to preface this announcement by giving a big thank you to everyone who, throughout the existence of Floppy Heroes, has taken the time to share their opinions and suggestions. Doing so has helped shape and grow Floppy Heroes far beyond what I had planned 16 months ago, when I first began working on what has become, in my eyes, a successful start to my game development career.
Floppy Heroes is a game I want to keep working on. I want to keep adding more arenas and equipment and features. The problem is that adding some of these features, such as the modding tool released earlier this week, requires me to go back and significantly restructure parts of the code. This is, of course, my fault as I had failed to plan ahead for the possibility of expanding the game. This has resulted in the current state of the game, which, although not broken, has a fair bit of metaphorical duct-tape holding it together behind the curtain.
As a result, I want to formally announce that I've begun work on a sequel!
My plan is to rebuild the game from scratch, taking everything you guys loved about it and polishing it, expanding the gameplay, and using my experience gained from working on the current game to ensure a smoother and more stable product, with a better foundation for adding future content.
I've created a new discussion thread here where you can post your ideas for the sequel. The old thread will still serve as place to post bugs and discuss the current game.
Once I've got some tangible content to show off, I'll be sure to create a blog of some sort so you can keep track the sequel's development.
Thank you again to everyone who's supported Floppy Heroes!
By creating this sequel, I hope to give you guys an even better game, with much more content, shaped by your feedback.

After 3 months on Steam, I'm still amazed at the amount of wonderful reviews and feedback Floppy Heroes continues to receive! Also, a huge thank-you to all the Youtubers who've taken the time to make video reviews and Let's Plays: you've made a huge impact in spreading the word and growing the community!
Anyways, onto the update!
50% More Weapons and Armor!
Customization is a huge part of Floppy Heroes, so there's 5 new equipment sets to unlock and wear. This means 20 new pieces of armor, and 12 new weapons to choose from!
A notable addition are chain weapons, such as nunchucks and flails, which will make you floppier than ever!
Upgradeable Equipment!
Have some leftover keys and a favorite sword or helmet you want to make even more powerful? For the cost of 3 keys, you can slightly improve its weight, health or damage, up to 2 times. Each piece of equipment upgrades differently, so you may discover a new favorite in the process!
A New Arena!
Alchemy features a large cauldron in the center of the room. Every few seconds, the cauldron will spit out a random potion, with a particular effect based on the color. I'll leave these effects for you to discover ;)
As always, please leave any feedback or suggestions you have, and especially let me know if you find any bugs!
