Hey, everyone! We’re getting a lot of excellent feedback on Pluto—thank you so much! Based on your comments, we’ve made the following changes to the service. Maybe you’ve noticed them? If not, please take a minute and check them out today.
Let us know here or at
[email protected] if you have any blocking issues preventing you from enjoying your Pluto conversations.
Your Name
It’s time to get real! Now you can use your real name or something close to it as your display name. This makes it easier for your friends to find you in the Contacts directory.
Account Info
Quickly access your account details and reset your password or change your name on the new Pluto Account Info page.
Connect with Google Contacts
New feature: Import your Google contacts. Go to Add Contacts in Pluto and select "Sign in with Google" to see if any of your existing contacts already have Pluto accounts. If they do, they'll show up at the top of the list. If not, you can invite them here.
Once you sign in with Google when adding contacts, we'll notify you if any of your Google contacts later create a Pluto account, too! That way you can connect when you are both using VR, regardless of your physical location.
Better Contact Searching
Since you use Pluto with people you know, finding your contacts is essential to using and enjoying our service. Previously, you could only search by username and email, but now you can search by display name, too. Even if you’re not sure of the exact name or spelling, Pluto will show you partial matches for the name you’re trying to find (email search still requires exact string).
Keep the feedback coming!
Please share your thoughts with us anytime. We're interested in discovering more ways we can help you manage your Pluto account, use the service, and find your friends who are using VR!
