Fixes
Improved a memory leak issue that could occur during long play sessions
Improved app performance on certain hardware
Fixed an issue where Settings and certain menus would not work properly on Steam Deck
Fixed an issue where controllers would not work properly in certain menus
Fixed an issue where the Rank Report UI would sometimes open the wrong music
Fixed an issue where the score result screen would sometimes incorrectly round results up
Can turn off Charge Drive sound from the Settings menu
I also frequently deploy small stealth updates to fix smaller issues, so please make sure the game is always up to date for the best experience!

Steam Next Fest has officially come to a close, and I want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone who downloaded, and played the Asterika demo over the last week.

To celebrate the event, I wanted to share an infographic summarizing some of the most notable stats from the festival!
What’s Next & Demo Deactivation Date
The current Next Fest demo will remain online for a little while longer so anyone who didn't get a chance to play over the weekend can still jump in!
The demo will officially go offline on Tuesday, July 7th.
After that, I will be taking the servers down to clean up the backend database, wipe the temporary leaderboards, and focus entirely on polishing the final build for launch.
If you haven't had a chance to give the current tracks one last run, now is the time! And if you want to help Asterika make it onto Steam’s upcoming release calendars, please make sure to add the game to your wishlist.

Thank you for playing! I've been quickly improving the demo and had no time to write any patch notes! The game has been currently updated to 0.1.5. The following are the changes from 0.1.2 to 0.1.5:
🌟 Major Features & Updates
Background Dimming Options: You can now adjust the background dimming to balance visual clarity and aesthetics to your liking (25%, 50%, 75%).
New Timing Feedback System: The game now displays "Fast" or "Slow" near your character if you miss a beat or hit the very edge of the timing window. (This features a brief cooldown timer so it won't flood your screen on every single miss).
Automatic Beat Assist (Solo Mode): Added a new assist feature that detects "beat drift" and briefly plays a clap sound on the beat to help you find your rhythm again.
⚙️ Gameplay Mechanics
Fever Time Update: When a mana point is earned during Fever Time, the surrounding cardinal tiles are now colored as well, rather than only the tile the player is currently standing on.
🔥 Critical Bug Fixes
Input & Performance: Fixed a minor keyboard input delay bug and implemented several minor under-the-hood optimizations.
Crash Fix: Resolved a critical bug that caused the game to completely freeze upon the player's first missed beat.
🛠️ General Bug Fixes
Fixed various bugs related to pausing and resuming the game.
Resolved an issue causing players to teleport right before the music starts.
Fixed a visual bug on the score screen.
Fixed rare Audio bugs
Corrected various typos throughout the game.

Hello, this is developer makaroll. I am happy to announce that a major, limited-time demo for Asterika is live starting today! This demo will remain available from now until the end of the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

If you played our early v1 playtest, thank you so much! Your feedback was vital. However, please do not skip the tutorial in this new version! There have been core rule changes to how you weave through obstacle patterns and move to the music.

A new indicator to show upcoming Drive mechanism has been added beneath the character, so that it's directly in your line of sight. Existing Grid Border indicator has been turned off by default but you can enable it in settings.
You can now select 'OFF' in Movement Sound setting

This is a version 1 early build of the game so I would very much appreciate your feedback after playing, with a survey link in-game.
What's included in V1:
6 Songs
3 Difficulty levels for each song
Online percentile-based rank system
As the game is still early in development please expect possible bugs or unfinished features.
