In an effort to polish the game as we continue to develop it, I'm happy to announce that we've launched Reboot on Early Access! Check it out! "Time, Space and Parallel Universes collapse and merge, tethered to threads of reality and sustained by a paradoxical power source. Nothing is impossible - it is time to become a Data Hacker." Time to take on an entirely new cast of characters as they fight for survival (and their own inner demons) in the small fragments of remaining reality. Featuring entirely overhauled aesthetics, combat and class mechanics, Reboot is shaping up to be pretty awesome indeed. Hopefully, you'll join us on the journey. Good day Hackers! We'll be launching Reboot onto Early Access on Friday 13th February! I'm very excited to show you guys what the Data Hacker universe has to offer... Check it out! My decision to take the game onto Early Access is multi-faceted, and basic common sense:Original post- Automatic Patching - For the Kickstarter backers, and anyone else who wants to get involved with testing the Beta, this feature is a massive time-saver when compared to re-rendering and distributing fresh DRM-free builds every couple of days.
- Wider testing base - As I've learned from my months here on Steam, bugs will keep coming at you. I'd really like to smooth and polish the game as much as possible in as short time as possible, making the game more enjoyable for everyone.
- Community Hub - A fantastic place to bounce ideas around, keep track of bugs and generally chat about how awesome it is to hack things. For those of you who haven't been following the development at all, Reboot is a tremendous step up in terms of both game play and aesthetics. Every environment is painstakingly hand-crafted and shaded with lighting and shadows, battles are now side-oriented and the narrative covers a wide variety of interesting characters. And then there's my favourite feature - characters can access unlocked classes at any time, mixing and matching their skill palette as they see fit. If a character unlocks a skill while training in a particular class, they can keep that skill forever, allowing you to truly customise your dream team from scratch!

As well as fixing a few minor (mostly graphical bugs), we've added a whole new dungeon! The Grindhouse is a series of rooms in which one can acquire cards by defeating enemies. Using these cards to unlock doors determines what will await you in the next room! You can also reset doors as you see fit, to change things around (though each room can only be exploited as a treasure-chest type once). This dungeon is pretty much intended as 'endgame' content, and is therefore relatively tough to work through. Those of you wishing to acquire the 'Voidwalker' recruit can also do so by hacking the boss monster that can be found in this area, negating the need to hack a player character (and therefore breaking your 'good' streak. In addition to this, to negate the need to run several NG+ runs, the boss has a chance of dropping the elusive 'Growth Ribbon', which is utilised in recruit maturing. To access this new dungeon, you need to speak to the enigmatic bald man at the Summit. Hope you like this new addition to the game. I should also note that I intend to integrate this dungeon into Corruption too ^.^ Additional Patch Notes:- Fixed a bug regarding a player graphic change when getting disqualified from the Dododrome
- Fixed a significant amount of minor graphical, functional and grammatical errors throughout the game
- Added the Grindhouse dungeon
- Ended the January Event
- Stopped players from being able to access the 'old' HC after Masamae's story arc
- Hopefully fixed the bug that prevented Odd Books from carrying over!
- Fixed a bug with some player being unable to rent their house out
- Players can now CHOOSE their desired item when completing the tower
- Pet summon items will now carry into NG+
