Terraria 1.4.5 Support Progress
If you are unaware, the 1.4.5.8 hotfix version of Terraria released a couple of weeks ago. In the release announcement, Re-Logic mentioned that this should be the last hotfix needed for the 1.4.5 (Bigger and Boulder) release. Adapting our current tModLoader update progress to the new hotfix should be straightforward and will happen in the coming weeks on the 1.4.5 beta branch. We are still not ready to set a release date for when the 1.4.5 version of tModLoader will become the default release, but we wish to emphasize that it is being worked on constantly. We are continuing to see a huge amount of community participation and contributions for the 1.4.5 update and are extremely grateful for those willing to help with this process through code contributions, bug reporting, testing, and participation in the discussions that take place on Discord. This last month in particular has seen a surge in community contributions and bug reports. There are still many tasks to be done, if you are interested in contributing code for the 1.4.5 update, the 1.4.5 Update Information page has information on how to contribute and what tasks remain to be done. That page also explains how to join the "1.4.5-dev" beta branch. Users can join that beta branch to help identify and report remaining bugs. We'd like to encourage modders to take this opportunity to come discuss any tModLoader API shortcomings with the tModLoader team and contributors on Discord, even if they are not able to personally contribute the changes. Major releases present an opportunity to fix issues that couldn't be addressed properly in regular monthly releases. As usual, community contributions are discussed mainly on Discord initially and then on GitHub to be implemented.Terraria 1.4.5 Update Changelog

This month's release contains mostly bug fixes and smaller features. We've fixed several UI inconsistencies, fixed a major sound volume issue, and even fixed major issues with how liquids are drawn, especially around sloped tiles. We've also implemented changes to support launching the game on ARM processors, which should prove useful to those looking to host dedicated servers on ARM machines. For modders, this month's release contains a few new features, most notably new API for modifying potion delay values. Other new features include more fixes for biome conversion and support for uploading server-side mods in-game. The full listing of other features and changes is detailed below.

This month's release contains the new ModAchievement feature. We are excited to see how mods use ModAchievement and how they'll give players long-term goals to work towards. We've seen many mod makers showcasing their new achievement art this last month and look forward to seeing them in-game. The full listing of other features and changes is detailed below.
Another change this month is new warnings and checks when downloading mods from multiplayer servers. We want to encourage players to exercise caution when downloading mods directly from servers, especially with strangers, as this is risky due to the mods having the potential to run malicious code. We've updated the mod publishing process to facilitate verifying the validity of mods downloaded directly from servers.

Modders: There are several features of note currently in preview for next month that modders can test and provide feedback for.
