I've received quite a few questions about DSC vs DS3:
How similar is DSC to DS3?
As a Deadswitch 3 player, you will be very familiar with the gameplay of DSC. However, there are a lot of cool new features and mechanics like Sliding, Mantling, Drivable Vehicles, and much more in DSC.
Customization has been massively expanded – including total character customization, weapon skins, attachment skins, custom laser & flashlight colors, and more!
Why is DSC a new game, as opposed to updating DS3?
Development for DS3 started in 2019 and there have been a lot of tech advancements since then. As such, the older game engine is harder to optimize and would require a complete overhaul – starting fresh with a new game engine was ultimately the best decision.
I also want to preserve DS3 in its current state without changing the underlying metas that exist.
Will DS3 still receive updates?
The short answer is YES – however these will most likely be performance oriented.
