Poly Bridge 2 is transitioning its online infrastructure to Steam for Leaderboards and the Workshop. As a result, there will be a full reset of all Leaderboards and Workshop data. Additionally, the Gallery is being updated to utilize the Poly Bridge 3 system, which will also require a reset. Twitch integration will be discontinued.

WHY
Since launch, Poly Bridge 2 has relied on a custom AWS backend for all online services. While this allowed us to achieve cross-platform services between Steam and Epic, maintaining this custom infrastructure is costly. As sales of PB2 naturally decline over time, the cost of running these servers is no longer financially viable.
To ensure we can support Poly Bridge 2's online functionality indefinitely, we are moving Leaderboards and Workshop to Steam, and sharing a low-cost Gallery backend with Poly Bridge 3.
⚠️ Important: Action Required for Creators
Because of this infrastructure switch, all current Leaderboards, Workshop items, and Galleries must be reset.
- Your local saves are unaffected. You can re-submit your scores to the new leaderboards simply by running the simulation again.
- Your local sandbox levels are unaffected and can be re-uploaded to the new Workshop.
CRITICAL: If you have published Workshop levels but deleted the original files from your Sandbox, please open those levels from the "Uploaded To Workshop" tab in the Sandbox and save them locally before June 30th so you don't lose them.
Additional Changes
- Linux Support: As a great side-effect of this architecture shift, we are now able to support the Gallery for Linux users.
- Performance: Overall performance and response times for online services will see an improvement.
- Language Packs: Language Pack workshop items can now be viewed and subscribed to in-game.
- Weekly Challenges: The Weekly Challenges will be temporarily disabled. Our goal is to bring back Weekly Challenges with Steam Leaderboards in the next few weeks.
- Twitch Integration: We are discontinuing Twitch support, as the ongoing cost for this feature is no longer justified by its limited usage.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience the Leaderboard reset and Workshop clearance will cause. This difficult decision was made solely to guarantee that Poly Bridge 2 has stable, reliable online support for years to come.

We have migrated the most downloaded 10,000 workshop levels and 300 workshop campaigns. We will migrate gallery items, starting with the oldest first.
