The Random Raiders Demo
During the Steam Game Festival, the Random Raiders Demo will let you play a portion of the soon-to-come full version of Random Raiders. You'll be able to create your guild, choose your guild banner, recruit your team and play the first 3 bosses. 4 difficulties will be available to try if you're finding the game too easy, or hard. The demo could run between 10-60 minutes depending on how well you play, if you end up lucky or not, and what surprises you encounter along the way. When the demo ends you can continue to play indefinitely and end the playthrough whenever you want.
Each playthrough features a randomly generated pool of characters, so you may end up with a perfectly balanced team of stable individuals, or scrambling to put together even a somewhat non-flaming trainwreck of a group. Events happen both randomly and based on the relationships of your guild members, so there's plenty of replay value if you want to experience them all. You'll also be able to edit the appearance of your guild members.
The full game will have more of everything - more raids, more events, more traits, etc.
Team and Origins
We're using "Team" in the broadest possible sense of the word here, as Random Raiders is developed in our spare time by two friends based in Linköping, Sweden: Max (UX-designer by trade), and Benny (software and game developer).
The idea behind the game was hatched in 2017, after Max (an avid player of MMORPGs ranging from WoW to Rift) had spent some time looking for a management / simulator game providing a condensed version of the experience of running a raiding guild. Much to his dismay there were none to be found. After experimenting with a character generator and art style, he was able to trick convince Benny to join up.
Although the original idea has undergone many iterations since its birth, the aim remains the same: to simulate a condensed, mini-game format of the experience of running an MMORPG raiding guild in a lighthearted, fun, and humorous setting.

Random Raiders is a Guild Manager Simulator that puts you in charge of a newly-started raiding guild in the fictional MMORPG 'World of Guild Quest'. Recruit the best players you can find - balance their classes, volatile personalities and overcome the inevitable drama in order to become the best guild on the server.
Our aim is for Random Raiders to simulate a condensed, mini-game format of the experience of running an MMORPG raiding guild (in a humorous setting).
